Grove Street School Lot

Town-owned parcels MBL 56-05 and 56-06 on Under Mountain Road, Salisbury

This parcel, which currently houses some playground equipment and has been used for parking, has been identified as a suitable location to build single-family homes. The Grove Street School lot, as it is called, is located in a residential neighborhood on Town sewer and water and within walking distance to the village center.

Perry Street

The residents of Salisbury voted at Town Meeting in 2022 to sell this property, the former site of a dry cleaner that has undergone remediation, to the Trust. The Planning & Zoning Commission has approved the Trust’s site plan with two new homes on it. Currently the Trust is pursuing funding to develop the property.

Housing Trust Seeks Land

The Salisbury Housing Trust is currently working with the Town of Salisbury to acquire land to build on. Until land is available, the Trust works with applicants to find appropriate properties to acquire.

Since our inception The Salisbury Housing Trust has built or renovated 14 homes in 6 locations that are owned and occupied by Salisbury residents. 

These homes have ranged in value between $110,000 and $212,000. The Salisbury Housing Trust retains ownership of the land and enters into a contract with the owner regarding resale, so these homes will always remain affordable.  We plan to build or renovate more homes soon.
